Welcome to Dhamma Vinaya Monastery Pune (DVMP), a 10-acre sanctuary in the serene landscapes of Agalambe near Khadakwasla. We are dedicated to preserving the Buddha’s original teachings—Dhamma (the Truth) and Vinaya (the Discipline).
Our Mission: To provide a dedicated space for the study and practice of Buddhist monastic discipline and meditation. We believe that when Dhamma and Vinaya function together, they lead to total unbinding and release from suffering.
The center has been developed by the Bahujan Hitay Samajik Bandhilki Sanstha (BHSBS) Pune, the result of years of dedication by its trustees. The first phase was inaugurated on the 2587th Buddha Jayanti (May 2023) by Renowned Thai Forest monk Most Venerable Arayawangso, fondly called Guruji.

In the teachings of the Buddha, dāna (generosity) is the foundation of spiritual practice. It is through giving—freely and selflessly—that one cultivates compassion, reduces attachment, and supports the continuation of the Dhamma in the world.
Dhamma Seva: We encourage students to offer their time in service. Serving others in the Dhamma is considered deeply beneficial for one’s own spiritual growth and helps sustain the monastic community.
Generosity (Dāna): This project is built and maintained entirely through the voluntary contributions of Dhamma practitioners and well-wishers. Your support ensures that the teachings remain accessible and freely available to all.
Dhamma Vinaya Ratna (DVR): To support the recurring expenses of the monastery and its social initiatives, individuals who contribute ₹1000 per month on a regular basis are honored as Dhamma Vinaya Ratna, recognizing their ongoing commitment to sustaining the Dhamma.
Your donations help sustain the monastery, support our monks, and fund meditation retreats and spiritual courses. Thank you for your kindness.
